It is the greatest place near Salt Palace Convention Center. Cooks at this bar do their best to provide guests with good chili cheese fries, garlic parmesan and onion strings. Order nicely cooked brioches. It's time to degustate delicious draft beer or good wine. Fat Jack's Tap House offers the great milkshakes selection. The cozy atmosphere of this place allows customers to relax after a hard working day. Many people point out that the staff is terrific at this place. Fine service is a strong point that plays a great role for the success of this spot. Prices here are reported to be low. Fancy decor lets the visitors relax. The service was very bad, they never attended to us, nor gave us the menu, we waited for a while and nothing, for the first time I felt discrimination for being Latin in this state.

Swiss Mushroom Burger was "okay". Garlic fries were very good. I was excited to see Golden Spike on tap, but it was horrible... close to Flat. We ordered at 11:50, our burgers came out at 12:33. Odd since there was one other table with people until just prior to our food coming out. The wood table needs to be sanitized and covered with epoxy - I could actually smell all the crumbs, spilled drinks, and the filth that accumulated over time (see photo). We visited because Fat Jack's was featured in "Only in Utah". We will not return. We walked in and there was no host, the sign said wait to be seated. Another man said he had been waiting a while. I went and asked the bartender if we needed to wait or if we could seat ourselves, and told us that “you definitely need to wait.” Was so rude, the place was basically empty, so don’t go here if you want timely, friendly service. $15 hot dog with no fries is a joke. It’s a hot dog not a steak. $18 burger with no fries, also a joke. Just throw some fries on the side, it would cost y’all close to nothing to just be fair to your customers. Not nearly tasty enough for that price even WITH fries anyway. Literally laughable. NOT WORTH IT! I got a burger that was okay. The really kicker is that it didn’t come from fries so I got fries for just under $5 and I got MAYBE 20 French fries (compared to a small Wendy’s fry).
