This is a great little restaurant nestled in the heart of Napa. The food options are great and cater to vegetarians fairly well.
We got seated on a large table as we were 4 adults and 4 kids with a coloring kids menu keeping them busy. They even have great outdoor seating, something we could not enjoy due to the rain.
The kids loved their Mac and cheese, while adults started with plenty of appetizers - their cheddar biscuits, sourdough burrata, and caramelized beets salad were great!!!
We even had a situation where some of the food dropped as we were passing food around the table and they did not hesitate to bring us a fresh order.
They even had a decent wine selection and we thoroughly enjoyed a quick tasting they offered and ordered a bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon!

Good food and fun atmosphere! If you want meat to eat, this is a solid choice. One of our dishes was quite salty, so they remade it for us.

For starters we ordered beef tartare. The taste is very classic and the bread is toasted well. Every bite is very smooth. For the main dish, we ordered steak and eggs and a trout to share. The trout is very astonishing. The texture of the fish is very soft and the mushrooms on top are definitely a plus. The vinaigrette sauce makes it more enjoyable. The steak on the other hand, is just mediocre. I like the baked potatoes a lot though. The price is sort of high so be prepared.

Server was informal with the food of the day. Recommend the Trout and was very impressed! I even recommend it, the mushrooms on it was very good and I don’t like mushrooms much. Great place to come after a wine taste. It’s reservations for inside seating but outside is first come first serve. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic service and food at Farmstead.
Biscuits with sweet butter are definitely how to start here with a bottle of Champagne. Beef tartare with super fresh yolks has superb acidity - was great. Pork chops also cooked incredibly well, no dry spots with a ton of flavor. Burgers and pulled pork sandwiches also pulled their weight with super tasty smokiness. Service was fantastic, was running late and they were able to push and get our food out super quick. Thank you!
By and far our favorite restaurant in Napa Area. Food is fabulous as is the service and atmosphere. Sit outside in the beautiful gardens and don’t miss the beet salad and trout. Amazing!!! We eat here with our friends every time we come to town. We highly recommend for brunch or dinner!
