Carolyn is a wonderful person and an incredible Baker! She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for my husband’s surprise 81st birthday party at J Arthur’s including delivering and setting up. The most difficult part of working with her is that she has too many choices to choose from!😁😂 The cupcakes were so moist, and the frosting was so delicious, each of them topped with a little something that indicated what flavor they were. The carrot cake was without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had! Moist, light, with delicious frosting and covered in pecans! I only wish I could post photos! I’ve always considered myself a pretty, darn good baker, but I’m throwing in my oven mitts! I’m so glad I ordered a bigger cake than what we needed! It did not last at the house after the party was over… I finally hid a piece for myself… There’s no other Baker that I will go to in this area! First of all, Carolyn is SO nice! She completely went out of her way to make an amazing birthday cake! I trusted her blindly since we do not live in town but she exceeded my expectations. She is an excellent communicator and responded quickly to my emails. Of course, not only is Carolyn amazing but the cake was incredible! We ordered a rum cake and it was so delicious! Moist! Fluffy! And the flavor was amazing. I am so happy I trusted Carolyn for this special birthday cake.

I recently purchased a dozen mini cupcakes and the variety of flavors provided a nice selection and they were moist, flavorful and delicious. Housed in Market Square alongside Sippers in the Valley, they are convenient to both Waynesville and Maggie Valley. Carolyn, the owner, took my phone order, had everything ready for me when I arrived and offered advance electronic payment so pickup was a breeze. Of course I had to get a coffee while there, too! You can’t go wrong with Fancy Flour for all your pastry needs.

I have been experiencing Fancy Flour cakes and cupcakes for almost three years! When I have out of town guests we always share a cake/cupcakes and without fail the consensus is "best cake ever" both in appearance and taste! Carolyn is totally a gifted baker and decorator!

Carolyn at Fancy Flour Baking Company is fabulous to work with! She's very accommodating, has excellent suggestions and her cake selection is unbelievable! Her creations are not only delicious but they're beautiful as well. Almost too pretty to eat...almost! I won't order cakes from anyone else!

I like to try cakes and cupcakes everywhere I go, and Fancy Flour is by far one of my favorites!! The cakes are not only beautiful but delicious!! The owner is wonderful!! Highly recommend!!

Carolyn's cakes are fantastic. We have tried several different flavors so far and they all have been super moist with smooth buttercream frosting that is just sweet enough to enjoy without overtaking the flavor of the cake. So far the favorite has been the Apple Cider cake with Caramel frosting, but the Strawberry cake with a buttercream/cream cheese frosting was a close second. Give Fancy Flour Baking Co. a try, you won't be disappointed.

You know how we sometimes see amazing things and think, "Man, I wish I would have gotten in on that on the bottom floor?" Fancy Flour Baking Company is that for me. I have eaten a lot of cake in my 38 sugar addicted years on this Earth, and none have floored me every single time, every single bite like these cakes have. I have had the opportunity to partake in nearly a dozen different cakes made by Fancy Flour, and though my waistline is none too impressed, my taste buds do a happy dance every time. You know the dance party at the end of "Footloose"? That kind of happy dance. The chocolate chocolate chocolate cake (I made that name up. I don't know the actual name of the cake) made my eyes cross for a while (I have a problem with chocolate). My black and purple skull topped birthday cake made me cry. The cinnamon roll cake begs to be eaten with either a huge cup of milk or a solid black coffee. The lemon cake with blackberry buttercream made me realize that I do, apparently, love lemon sweets. Who knew? I can not say enough how impressed I am with the amazing craftsmanship that continues to flow from this company. Nor can I express how excited I am for the next cake I have ordered to be in my belly come Sunday!
