If you are looking for truly authentic Mexican food, El Taquito is your spot. We tried the tacos and gorditas. Deshebrada or shredded pork with red sauce, I learned, is a must try!! The shrimp cocktail looks great and was a huge portion along with the soups. The two things I want to try next time. We usually eat there every weekend, but the quality of the Sopes has really went down. The vegetables are not fresh. Our hot sauce was bubbling like it was spoiled. So we haven't been back. Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This place was recommended and we're glad it was. We each had a taco and a sope; I also had the gordita. Everything was made fresh, and the service was wonderful. Our waiter was very helpful with his recommendations. I thoroughly enjoyed the El Pastor in my gordita - so tasty! Highly recommend for anyone wanting authentic Mexican food. I had some of the best nopales con carne I've eaten in a long time. Rene, and the ladies in the kitchen do an excellent job in getting your order prepared and ready. I'll definitely be back !!! Service Dine in

The server was very quite, not rude but just like he was not happy we were there. Food was not good but was not nasty either. It just needed more flavor. The kitchen ladies were nice and the gorditas would be good if they add more flavor to the asada meat. I got a caldo de res and was missing something , not nasty though it was just not tasteful. 🥺

I've been a customer for over 5 years and I can tell you they are the best Mexican restaurant in Longview TX. It's family owned so they have that unmatched homemade love and quality and are very humble too. I've always been satisfied with their service and will continue to visit them as long as I live in East Texas.

I started going here 15 years ago! I love getting tacos de Pollo, gorditas de nopales, and ceviche para vuelva la vida! It is bit less expensive and WAY tastier than any other taqueria in town! I've tried 'em all, and I keep coming back!

Been coming here 9 years. This is hands down the #1 Stunner on Menudo. Fresh clean food and taste. Customer Service is always a 10. Brought my dad here and even he was pleased.

Great Food and Service. I truly enjoyed the homemade style food. Nothing I had was store bought. You have to bring your family and friends.... I know I will be bring my family next time.
