It was great. I am not really a Mexican food eater, but the dishes I had were excellent. Fajitas, tamales tortillas and chili Renos probably spelling this incorrectly, but they were stuffed and excellent. The atmosphere was great. The staff was very warm, pleasant not rushing. I've lived in Denison for over 4 years now and this place is consistently good. It is our go-to TexMex restaurant. Everything about your experience there will end on a positive note. Prices are excellent for both drinks and food. Great portion sizes, trust me, you won't leave hungry. Actually, you probably won't eat again until the next day. This is especially true if you order their special dinner. It has a little bit of everything!! I'll admit one of my favorite things about this place is what I call a rough day cure. They offer MONSTER sized margaritas that make you forget for just a moment your kids/spouse/job stressing you out! Pair that with some chips and salsa and you're good to go! I've lived in Denison five years, and this is the first time I've eaten here. I ordered the veggie quesadillas, strawberry cheese cake, and a drink. The food was good. I've never eaten a quesadilla with broccoli inside! Chips and salsa came with my order. This was my second time visiting El Tapatio Cafe. I was so impressed by the first visit that I wanted to test the consistency... let me just say... the second time was better than the first!! I ordered the sour cream chicken Enchiladas dinner and my girlfriend had the fajitas.. both were served hot and fast abs they were so delicious! Wonderful service, too! Friendly and helpful!
