Fantastic food. We were in a large group, and service was generally good until it was time to pay. We hadn't asked for a split check and trying to decipher the bill was difficult. Apparently if you order anything that deviates from the menu, there's a surcharge. We have been to El Sombrero #1 closer to the Pacific Ocean, parking can be hard to locate plus parking meters. The staff was courteous and very friendly knowledgeable about the expansive menu.The food was delicious and hot. They even serve adults beverages. I'm vegan and just walking into a taco spot its unexpected to find something delicious and also vegan but it took me 2 seconds to order such a great meal, and on top of that lots of people don't even know what really qualifies something as vegan but the cook here even made sure I knew there was milk in the guacamole when I asked for it! Saved me a stomach ache and made me want to come back again and again. But there's more!! I got take out and a lot of places now don't want you eating takeout inside but they not only let me eat it inside they also gave me water and utensils. Everything about this place screams good vibes I love it so much. If you're vegan try getting the vegetarian hard shell taco with no cheese and add grilled vegetables. And add a grilled jalapeño. Nice little Mexican restaurant, great atmosphere, amazing customer service... portion size so big and food was absolutely perfect.. Absolutely delicious food at a great price! Awesome margaritas and chips and salsa. The salsa was super spicy but yummy. Split the fish burrito with my husband and we each got a taco. Standard fare that was on the bland side. I literally added hot sauce to everything from the salsa to the entree, which is something I very rarely do. The service was attentive and extremely friendly and the dining room is spacious and clean. It's too bad that the food was lack luster...
