El Sabor de Vargas is my favorite first stop restaurant in Utuado! Close to La Plaza, local retail stores, and the Catholic church. Chef Cheo takes pride executing every single dish, and he uses fresh local produce. He makes the best carne mechada full of flavor,delicious! 😋 and every dish it's tastefully garnished. My husband had the ternera al vino con mofongo, he really enjoyed it! Also, our server Mickey was very pleasant & attentive, he suggested croquetas de bacalao, arañitas de platano with a ajoli sauce & chorizos al vino it was yummy😋
They also have big delicious avocados 🥑 and fresh cold agua de coco. Big menu selection, big portions, and the prices are very reasonable. I love ❤️ this place 😍

We had a wonderful time and delicious meal. Service was prompt and kind 💘 I loved the salmon with the red criolle sauce and the sweet plantains. My husband enjoyed his shrimp in garlic sauce. The prices were fair and we were so happy to find a place open on a Tuesday!

Our family visited on January 3rd and had a wonderful lunch! Miguel took excellent care of us. My dad was craving piononos and El Sabor de Vargas did not disappoint. Everything was delicious!

What an amazing experience the food is close to excellent and the service is fenomenal.
I was in a somewhat of a big group (9 of us) we ordered all together and the food was quickly brought to us.
The food is all made in house and DELICIOUS.
