All the visitors love the menu that offers wonderful Mexican cuisine at this restaurant. Serving nicely cooked grilled prawns, chicken and shrimp tacos is the unique characteristic of El Cozumel. You will be offered good margaritas or delicious beer. The cosy atmosphere of this place makes guests feel relaxed and have a nice time. The hospitable staff welcomes people all year round. Cool service is a strong point that plays a great role for the success of this spot. You will like low prices. From the guests' point of view, the decor looks spectacular here. El Cozumel I never expected that I would find an amazing Mexican restaurant in the area of Flint, Michigan, but that is exactly what happened. While on our way home from a long Roguetrip, we were passing through Flint, and it was dinner time. Mexican Restaurants are our favourite - and we always make a beeline for Mexican cuisine where ever we can. We saw this Mexican restaurant in a Mall. The mall looked deserted, and we were sceptical about going there. However, as we sat in the car thinking about it….we noticed the large groups and the number of people coming and going from this restaurant—many leaving with takeout containers and doggie bags. This showed us that it is obviously a favourite spot amongst the locals - so we went for it. Inside - the restaurant was packed, vibrantly decorated, and bustling with activity. We could tell we made the right choice to go in. Immediately upon being seated , we were presented with a huge bowl of nacho chips and salsa - with a smile. Our waitress came over shortly after and was very pleasant and energetic. I honestly don’t remember the names of the items we ordered, but they were absolutely amazing. The food was everything we had hoped for and expected. It was full of authentic flavours and perfectly presented. All of our cravings for Mexican food were perfectly satisfied. We always have a margarita when we eat Mexican food, and they had several flavour options to choose from - and they are huge. The Nacho chips and salsa get refilled before you finish the current bowl. The staff are extremely attentive to their guests & needs. The prices are so reasonable - this may be the cheapest (and most satisfying) meal we had during our road trip. What an Unexpected surprise. Great service - prompt and courteous great food - flavourful and plentiful great atmosphere - vibrant and joyful. great prices. Food still excellent. We had a variety of items. Waitress was very pleasant and efficient. 15 yr old grandson loved the fried ice cream (his first time trying it). Got there at 5pm on a Thursday, seated right away, shortly after they got very busy. Food prices are up some (like everywhere) but still not bad. The place was okay. The average rating is too high. The food is better than average but the portions are small. My burrito was closer to a flauta, the ground beef has a lot of filler cartilage or something chewy and white - it definitely isn't fat. The staff is great and the restaurant clean, and decorated with the typical Mexican decor. Star Wars was playing on a TV, that's a plus. I will not return, the food quality is too budget. The best in the entire area, you may have to wait a half hour plus on weekends / busy days but I gladly wait to eat here than go somewhere else. I had heard about this place a long time ago but didn't get the chance to try it until now. The food was pretty good and I ordered from the lunch menu so it was cheap. I'm usually not a fan of the white cheese sauce but theirs was good. They didn't use too much of it like a lot of places. I got the lunch shredded beef chimichanga and I liked it. Hubby got a salad because that's what you order in a Mexican restaurant. 🙄 He liked it and ate the whole thing. The service was pretty good and we got our food quickly. As I said before, the price was reasonable and I would go back if I got the chance. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
