Came by this restaurant for the first time to grab lunch. Ordered a Pan con Bistec, the bread felt fresh and flavors were all there! My only feedback is it could of used more Bistec. Nostalgic, for me, it's a trip back to days and times of my youth. Now, as an adult, I absolutely love and appreciate both the food and atmosphere. It's as if to me it were me stepping back in time. The smells, the taste of the food, and the prices are beyond ideal. I'd highly recommend this establishment if you want some traditional Cuban food at a great price. Was looking for authentic Cuban food for awhile. And I can tell this was the taste we were looking for. Cuban sandwich made on the right bread not Italian bread. We came from 1 1/2 hrs away due to a recommendation for here. They did let me down. Server was Gloria and was great. We ordered food to go as well and she made sure we had everything before we left. When visiting Union City, definitely try this local Cuban restaurant with flavors that have remained the same over the years. Crispy and flavorful chicharon, palomilla, vaca frita, and dessert tres leches. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Stopped by Union City landmark El Artesano for breakfast. Liz ordered the Jamon, queso, Y chorizo omelette with a side of home fries. I ordered the Cuban breakfast which contains two eggs overeasy on top of arroz moro with sweet plantains. Our breakfast was so pleasing we decided on ordering to go some plain churros and filled ones. Also took home empanadas y tamales. Thank you for a very pleasant morning!!!
