Lovely cozy place with fantastic vintage decoration (including some old Russian folding cameras, for any analog geeks). Food was average. Not particularly tasty or special, soup and fries were a little colder than you’d hope, but nothing to complain about. If it was 200NOK cheaper then I might have given it another star, but as it is it’s a cheap family restaurant masquerading as chic. I was served Norwegian North Sea fish today. I was told my order was given away to someone else so my work colleague ate his meal whilst I waiting for mine to be cooked again. When it arrived. I told one of the male staff the fish was not cooked properly, he apologised and asked if I would like something else. I asked if I could just have vegetables. The fish was raw in places it also smelt as if it was off. I will not be eating at this place again. A chef who cannot even cook fish and fresh fish at that…. It was disgusting. I am currently working in Norway and our bills are paid for at this restaurant through the company I work for. I certainly would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Nice and cozy atmosphere, decent food. No table-service is a little bit of a let down. You either have to order at your table with a QR-code or at the bar. Ordered the BBQ-ribs and replaced the fries for a baked potato with garlic butter. Ribs were good, although the BBQ-sauce is nothing to write home about. The skin of the baked potato was unfortunately slightly burnt so it didn’t taste that great. However the meal was still satisfying. Can’t really go too wrong with ribs 🤷🏻‍♂️ Unfortunately no one came to ask us how the food was, which was disappointing. The servers seem to be occupied with tending the bar, more so than checking that the diners are enjoying their food. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Just asked what they would recommend. They recommended egon's bacon wrapped beef or spareribs. I chose the beef. I asked for rare and it was perfect, moist and tender. Best rare steak i have eaten in a long while. The creamy potato gratin was also a very good suggestion, instead of boring fries or baked potato's. Now i'm curious to try the spareribs. Nice burger. However if you order steak and ask for medium minus, you'll get medium plus. If you order beef I recommend that you ask for as rare as legal in Norway, if you want medium.

For this type of restaurant it is four stars. It's a order and pre-pay at the counter-place, and they leave it to customer to write in the total price before the pin code - meaning they want tips before service... this is wrong! Note also that it is not required or neccessary to tip in Norway. To the food, had a good quesadilla, but not spicy at all. The pizza buffet could be replenished more often (slices were getting rubbery). I think they do not use original recipies for drinks, but tasted good none the less.
