Took my wife for dinner, our first time and last unfortunately. Started with fried mushrooms (flavorless), I had the fried seafood platter (absolutely no flavor), except the Sysco Food Supply french fries were ok. My wife had the grilled salmon plate and the fish was over cooked and dry. On top of that the waitress was not familiar with the menu or its items, needed help from another worker. Edna is endowed with Mexican restaurants so a seafood establishment is great. This restaurant is a regular ‘go to’ for us as we entertain a lot out of town guests. The food is very good and waitresses, for the most part, are very accommodating and friendly. One thing that needs attention is cleanliness. Salt/pepper shakes are dirty as well as food crumbs accumulated between table connections. Food splattered on window shades against the wall is also evident. A delicious surprise in the middle of nowhere past downtown Edna, TX. Had 6 fried shrimp, 1 catfish filet, coldslaw, fries. Should be on the Texas Bucket List! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
