I was recommend to check out this not restaurant but the “strip” of restaurants this one happened to be in. I ordered the skirt steak monfongo, and I maybe I built it up too much in my mind, but I was expecting more flavor and depth. The plantains and steak didn’t really have a lot of flavor and the garlic sauce wasn’t enough to redeem it. I saw a lot of possible reviews form this place though, so maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Went here after a tour of El Yunque and WOW. Food was amazing! We went with our tour guide and he told us to try to trifongo with garlic sauce, and it was the best food we ate during vacation. Also got a Pina Colada that tasted like a milkshake with alcohol, (no complaints here, it was delicious)! I am definitely still missing it after going home to New Hampshire. We will be back when we vacation again in Puerto Rico! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I will not lie, I had my doubts. consider them gone! we are a mostly vegetarian group and were worried about the options. they do have a separate vegetarian section with a few dishes. the best one was the stuffed avocado with veggies. amazing! it comes with a sauce and size, we got the creole sauce and yellow rice (mamposteao) with onions peppers sweet plantains. our other entree was the eggplant with garlic and butter. it was sooo yummy! another family member got breaded chicken and mashed potatoes. the potatoes were just okay. the salads that accompany everything were mediocre. but the entrees were the star dishes. the atmosphere was really not as lively as we were hoping for the kiosks. for a Saturday night during peak season it was mostly empty and a lot of the kiosks were closed. Edelweiss Bar & Grill: A Caribbean Gem Where Fresh Seafood Reigns Supreme My recent visit to Edelweiss Bar & Grill was a true delight for the senses. The vibrant atmosphere, friendly service, and, most importantly, the incredible food, left me feeling happy and thoroughly satisfied. I opted for the red snapper with stuffed seafood, and let me tell you, it was a showstopper. The perfectly cooked snapper, flaky and glistening with a hint of lemon, was generously stuffed with a medley of fresh seafood that burst with flavor in every bite. The combination of shrimp, lobster, and other treasures of the sea was simply divine. But the culinary journey didn't end there. The accompanying mofongo rice and beans were the perfect complements to the star of the show. The mofongo, a Puerto Rican staple made with mashed plantains, was light and fluffy, soaking up the delicious juices from the snapper and seafood stuffing. The rice and beans, cooked to perfection with a touch of sofrito, added a layer of savory comfort that rounded out the dish beautifully. Beyond the Plate: A Feast for the Senses Edelweiss Bar & Grill isn't just about the food, though that's certainly the main attraction. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, with a touch of island flair. The friendly staff adds to the charm, making you feel welcome and pampered from the moment you step in. And let's not forget the view! Situated right by the beach, the restaurant offers stunning vistas of the turquoise waters and swaying palm trees, making every meal a feast for the eyes as well. A Must-Try for Seafood Lovers and Beyond Whether you're a seafood lover or simply looking for a delicious and authentic Caribbean dining experience, Edelweiss Bar & Grill is a must-try. The fresh ingredients, expertly prepared dishes, and warm atmosphere make it a gem worth discovering. I highly recommend the red snapper with stuffed seafood – it's a dish I'll be dreaming about long after my last bite. So, if you're in the Luquillo area, do yourself a favor and head to Edelweiss Bar & Grill. You won't be disappointed! We were recommended this restaurant, it was okay to be honest. Nothing to write home about. Didn’t really like the lobster 🦞 as much as I thought I would. My wife wasn’t a fan of her food. We do like how it’s right on the beach. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Came here right after the rainforest hike and i wasn’t super impressed nor was I disappointed. The grilled chicken was pretty good and flavorful and I got coconut rice on the sidewhich was great! Rich coconut makes the whole meal a lot better. All orders come with a side for the exception of a few things on the menu. I got fries as my side and they barley gave me any. Service was ok! Kinda expensive. Service Dine in Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
