Great place and really good donuts. However, they’ve changed their Apple Fritter recipe lately; making them flatter than before. This change came about a month or two ago in relation to this post. Before, the fritter was perfect: not over glazed; contained a balanced combination of a fried, crusty exterior and a tender, yeast-doughnut interior. And, it was mounded like how I think a fritter should be. Now, it’s been flattened and over-glazed to the point where the interior is a gloppy mixture of sugary-glaze, rendered apple and soggy and saturated yeast doughnut that became unpalatable the more I ate it. Please do quality control on this doughnut because I believe it’s one of your flagship products and has the potential to be excellent; especially not that Dunkin no longer has its conventional fritter. On the positive side, the cinnamon roll and the chocolate covered vanilla pudding filled donuts are supreme!
