As a former restaurant owner who has never wrote a review,I feel obliged to share our wonderful experience.Traveling back to Montgomery county Pa less than 2 weeks ago we hit the seasons first snow storm.Stopping in Williamsport we stumbled upon this restaurant.Even though they were closing they graciously welcomed us.Not only was the food excellent so was the company.The owner showed us around and shared with us its rich history.Great time and great food which what it’s all about!Especially coming from two people who love to try new places.A must visit!!!!!! Visited last weekend for the first time and I will start with the positive. The food was delicious! We had the shrimp appetizer, pappardelle bolognese and ravioli which were all great and perfect generous portions. The dinner rolls were quite disappointing. Tasted like something from Costco or BJs rather than good Italian bread which I would expect to be served here. I will note the oil/vinegar/seasoning dip was great! Overall the service was very disappointing. We were told we had one server, then a different one, then finally we had John, who was not very attentive or professional. My boyfriend had to ask for a wine menu after he asked what we wanted to drink. The menu was then handed to me. We also had to ask for more water when our glasses were empty which was mishandled. The pitcher finished filling my boyfriend's glass and the waiter never returned with more water to fill mine, until we flagged him down. The only time the waiter checked on us he asked "do the entrées meet your needs" which we thought was a bit odd. At a nice restaurant we have certain expectations of service which definitely fell short here. We are from NYC and were in town for a long weekend.
