De Rede has an industrial interior and looks nice and sophisticated, however I was very disappointed with the food. I ordered the Caesar salad as a starter and the ribs as the main course. The salad was bland and there was an overkill of Gorgonzola cheese on it. Also the chicken was very dry and sliced very thinly like slices you would put on a sandwich. The ribs were also very dry and tasted bland and not smokey at all. The only smoke flavor came from the sauce, but there was way too little sauce. It's very good and recommended restaurant. Me and my husband love to come for breakfast or lunch.

Excellent food, but poor service today. Today was self-service day -after not being served for 20min, I changed the table. The new table was not cleaned after the last guest, and after waiting far too long for both, ended up searching for the menu and for salt myself. To make another order and to get the bill I had to chase the waiter in person at the entrance. It was very busy and the service team probably understaffed, but still this has rarely happened to me. Great food, amazing cocktails, the service however is a bit hit and miss.
