The appearance of the restaurant is wonderful, you can feel the amazing atmosphere. The surrounding area is also beautiful, so it is worth visiting this place just for the view and atmosphere. Go for a walk before and preferably after eating. There are many places to sit inside, they are different. You can find something more private for a date for two or choose a place among the guests. . It's better to make a reservation, I don't know if there is a chance to get in without it. Even though it was very busy, I didn't have to wait long for my food. I ordered 3 pieces. Large water, carppacio and brie. The entrie order was without bread at my request. Water served royally in a beautiful vessel with ice. The carppacio went perfectly with the rest of the ingredients, was very tasty and melted in your mouth. As for the first bite of brie, it was a dream. The combination of cheese with a bit of honey and walnuts is a combination that deserves an award. It was delicious, atmospheric, and the service was at the highest level. As seems normal in Dutch restaurants, I was refused a glass of just tap water. I needed to purchase a tiny bottle for about 3 Euro's a pop. As I'm used to drink quit a lot of water with my meal this ads up. I find this practice goes against normal hospitality and the Dutch (and worldwide) filosoly of energy saving. My filosoly: if I'm refused free water I don't leave a tip. If I get free water I leave a generous tip. Food was okay not anything special. We left before we could order anything. No one brought us the menu. Table next to us was also waiting a long time. Staff service is not welcoming and you are waiting like a dog, not like a guest. I loved the interior and the vibe, unfortunately wasnt able to experience the food.
