I ordered two plates. On one plate I got catfish eggs grits and sourdough bread. Everything on the plate was good except the grits they were hard and I can tell they were not creamy when they were put into the box. The grits were a 2 out of 10. I also got the smothered pork chops on top of rice with gravy which was extremely good. I also had two sides.... Greens and black eyed peas. Very good as well. I paid $8.50 for a hot link that was cut in half that I will not talk about. I will be posting pictures of everything except that hotlink. When one steps in, it's as if one is transported back in time. It's a small diner and an even smaller kitchen. But the food that is prepared is downright delicious!!! Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fish

Worst of the worst service. Talk to employee at the register like he was a dog. Had the kid in tears. This is not the first time I heard DayDay treating employees bad. Makes it very uncomfortable to dine in, he should be ashamed of himself. Service Dine in Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I have been here many times. My family has met me here a few times. My family took a break here when a family member was in a hospital near by. Clearly, the food is great. I did not expect what I got on February 8. My wife’s meal was special. Her turkey chops, greens, yams, and rice and gravy were special. My meal was disappointing. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The menu stated it was a large bowl of grits. It was not. I ordered another meal almost immediately. The shrimp was tasty but the grits were cold and bland. Day Day’s is bomb! Had the Slim Da Mobsta. Chicken was crispy and flavorful on the outside and juicy and flavorful on the inside. It was perfect. Waffle was slightly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Also perfect. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Service was awesome! Must try food right here.
