If you feel hungry after visiting Bir Mula Heritage Museum, have a meal at this restaurant. According to the guests' opinions, waiters serve nicely cooked shakshuka here. Nothing can be better than tasting good pancakes. Delicious wine is what can make you come back to DATE (Art Café). Ordering the great cappuccino is a decent idea. A very cute concept; on the other side of the building (not pictured) are huge stairs, where you can sit down with an assortment of pillows to enjoy your food or drinks and have a beautiful view over the area. The food looks unassuming on my picture, but, it was great, it was full of flavour (it's filled with pistachio), I appreciated the fruits, it was excellent. So too for the juice - you have both a beautiful view and delicious food. Inside the building, you can charge your phone, but you're not allowed to eat there. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was finishing my trip to Malta, did the last walk around Valletta which was super crowded, and thought: ok, if they don't accept cards on the ferry to 3 Cities, I wouldn't bother and would go straight to the airport and have my lunch in McDonald's. and I would miss this? the most peaceful, relaxed and friendly (not in an annoying way) spot I've been to on the island? Life knows its ways. I wish I had enough time to come back in the night to see the lights, but I guess it means another trip to Malta! Celebrating New Year's Eve at the cafe was an absolute delight! The vibrant atmosphere, coupled with festive decorations, set the perfect mood for ringing in the new year. The staff's enthusiasm and good service added to the overall enjoyment, making it a memorable experience. The live music and fire show further heightened the celebratory vibe. The place is great for a lazy afternoon or for a coffee/ cocktail break. Laying down on the pillows with the view over the boats was great! We only had coffee, a very good one. The only think they could improve is the service. I had to go for a menu and also to order because no one was coming. There was no "order at the bar" sign. They can also better plan their supplies. There was no plant-based milk available but the soya one (which in my opinion changes coffee's taste), they said they were busy that week :) Other than that, the place is very cosy. It looks inconspicuous but this is an absolutely wonderful little cafe. Plenty of gluten free, lactose free and vegan options if you need. The platters and piadinas were amazing and the staff are very friendly. It’s a shame we weren’t there on the nights they do live music as this would be a beautiful place to sit and listen, soaking up the atmosphere. We will be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I visited the place twice, once during the evening for a drink and second time for a breakfast, as noticed good reviews for the breakfast choices. Nice atmosphere in both cases. In the evening I stayed in the couches, very relaxing. The minus was that the white wine ordered was not sufficiently cold. The breakfast experience - really good. DATE (Art Café) is located at the top of the Grand Harbour, just head right from the Gondola drop off points. Friendly and attentive service is guaranteed here, as is the ability to top up your tan in this veritable suntrap (don't worry there are plenty of parts in the shade too). Whilst outdoor seating on the concrete steps might not be for everyone there are cushions and tables provided. We could have stayed all day! One of my absolute favorites in Malta & the three cities. Date Art is a such a fun creative space, with an excellent vibe & great views of the Harbour. The food & drinks menu is wholesome with a wide range of vegan options & fusion dishes from corners of the world. The service is top notch! You could easily sit here & enjoy a coffee, conversations or even a book by yourself. The traditional pierogies were delicious & latte with coconut milk was well brewed! Must visit here!
