What a sight for tired, traveling eyes - Cracker Barrel. This store had just opened and I found myself wanting to eat everything on the menu. On this day I was just passing through and needed a good hearty breakfast to get my day started. Started with a sweet tea, and then dove into the Old Timers Breakfast platter, the food was fresh, and the biscuits were SO fluffy. The biscuits and gravy were to die for, pork sausage is still stuck in my brain. Service was limited to one server, and she was busier than a one arm paper hanger. She got the job done and I was in/out in no time. Check out this location, it’s kind of in a of location, but no way you’re missing the HUGE sign about it. You can see it from the highway. Enjoy! The food is delicious. Not exactly healthy, but good in moderation. Our server was busy but very attentive and great. The tables were a little too crowded, and waitresses and patrons alike almost knocked items off our table while squeezing past us while we ate. Also, I wish the music selection matched the variety for sale in the record album selection in the store. Nothing but country music is not pleasant when one finds country music annoying and trite. Mariah was my server. She promptly took our order and was very polite. My meal was delivered quickly, and was hot and delicious. Mariah's service was commendable, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who comes to eat here. Waitress was so inattentive. I had to ask for water three times. Meatloaf wasn’t very good, which is unusual. We ordered dessert, table wasn’t cleared, so there was no place to put the desserts. Not a good day at Cracker Barrel. We’ve visited many times and usually it’s great. I’ve ordered our prime rib Christmas dinner. Hoping it will be perfect like last year.
