I picked up the salt shaker and noticed food from the previous customers still on the table. I moved everything off the table to ensure it was cleaned properly after us and saw how gross the table actually was. They only clean where someone was sitting instead of the whole table. Went in there today around 2:00 and when I say the customer service was amazing.. We got sat instantly and as soon as we were sat Richard came to our table to let us know that our waitress (Allison) was running a food order so it would take a few minutes, and he took our drink orders. About 3 minutes later Allison comes to take our food order, she was extremely friendly and was always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was also great (i got a maple bacon grilled chicken) Would 100% recommend this Cracker Barrel and will definitely come back when I am in the area. I was seated immediately, and a friendly server was there within a minute. She was very helpful, because I wanted something that was off the menu. They no longer have the Uncle Herschel's platter, so I chose off the Make-Your-Own menu, and got what I wanted. The food came out hot and fast and she checked back on me in about the perfect timing. As usual, a great experience. Cracker Barrel, please bring back some of the old staples. For two people, both ordered breakfast, including fried steak, the total was under $34. Fairly decent for today's standards, and the fact that we both had all we cared to eat. When it's busy, the atmosphere is still fine. On the occasion when it's not super busy, the atmosphere is very pleasant. The food has always been good, but we all know that there is always the possibility of a bad dining experience regardless of where you go. I'm sure, by now most people are familiar with the Cracker Barrel, and know what to expect. I don't think anyone I know personally would object to dining here.
