Always fun. Great atmosphere and friendly staff!
Great little Spot off of the beaten path showed my 10-year-old son what a country western bar really looks like we got some good barbecue and some chicken fried steak hopefully created a great memory after the baseball game. It exceeded my expectations. The menu was a little limited but it had everything on it we wanted.

Coupland Dance Hall is BACK!! I am so happy that it is back to the original format! We stopped going because of the way it was being ran, it was horrible! Git talked into going again to see Jon Stork last weekend (awesome show, btw), and everything was amazing again!!
We went last night to see my former student, Rick Trevino. We were very disappointed that ALL the tables were reserved. We got there in time to get a high bar table in the very back. This was 7:00pm. By 8:00 the bar was packed. We couldn’t see the stage for the people standing in front of us. It was way over booked. The people sitting by us said this was their 3 concert to see Rick and it had never been as crowded as it was last night. After I made my way thru the crowd to the restroom, it was so crowded I didn’t see the step. I fell on the concrete floor, hitting my head, left knee and right hand. Two gentlemen saw me fall and helped me up. I limped to my seat in pain. We decided to leave, but told the bartender what happened. She said someone else had fallen. There were very faded red stripes but not visible. If I had broken anything, you would be hearing from me today. This was not our first visit, but probably our last.
Great old nostalgic dancehall - BUT, the place has some really bad maintenance issues - there are LARGE batts of loose, open, unsecured, insulation just hanging from the rafters all over this place - so when the structure is shaking from the music (speakers hung from rafters as well) - you better believe you are breathing in Fiberglass. I always have trouble breathing after being there for work. Men's restroom will never be/ smell clean. Staff are all VERY nice...
One of the greatest dancehalls in Texas!
Love love love this place. Food is good. Best dance floor around.

Since ownership just changed back we gave it another try. Sad to say, not really any better. Friends chicken fried chicken was raw in the middle, the rest of us were done eating by the time her cooked one came back. No waitresses, pick up your own food at the window for a $36 steak is pretty pathetic especially since they've removed all but a few tables in the dining room. And the one we sat at was falling apart, all the veneer was peeling up and snagging my sweater. Another event in the event room (this has happened before) so they had almost no barbeque and other stuff . For $70 per couple, ordering at the bar and picking up your own food is not my cup of tea. Also, they were going to comp my friends raw dinner but you pay first (like McDonald's) and she never came back with a refund. It's too bad. This place is a couple miles from our house. And it's just not worthy of going back. If I'm going to order at the counter, pick up my own order and have it be raw I'll go to McDonald's. It's way cheaper. I gave it two stars because my husband's steak was good and cooked right.
