Emily, the owner and Chris the manager is fantastic and the coffee and food never disappoints! Highly recommend trying this place, and I highly recommend the creme brulee latte they have on the menu right now.

I used to love coming in and sitting with friends or by myself, working. It was a place for community. The last two times I have been in, patrons have let their very young children run amok and nothing has been said by staff. This morning, the toddlers literally chased each other, running from one end of the store to the other, occasionally screaming for at least 15 minutes, while their mother and two other women did nothing. The staff came out to wipe down the creamer station but said nothing to the women. It was not busy at all - the hour or so I was there, there was often no one at the counter.
After one of the boys almost tripped on a chair leg, I finally put my things together and left. I took the sign off the wall that said "Parents, please keep your children by your side. For safety reasons, running is prohibited in the store" and read it to the women (and then put it back). They excused the behavior by saying "they're children."
"Yes" I said "and you're adults. It's not a playground. You'd probably sue the establishment if one of the boys gets hurt."
These women never brought out books or toys for the boys to occupy themselves with and before running around, the one boy kept trying to ask the adults questions, but they ignored him. So I don't blame the children.
The previous time I'd been in, it was very busy and two young boys were going around to all of the food displays, touching the packaging and running their toy cars over everything. That time it was very busy and very crowded, so it's very possible staff did not see how disruptive the boys were (I have no idea if these were the same boys but they were about the same age.)
I love kids. I rough and tumble with my own grandkids (ages 2-13) at home, but they if they started to act like these boys in a public place, we'd leave as much out of concern for their safety as for other patrons.
If there's a posted store policy that is so clearly being violated, I would hope staff would speak to the violators and ask them to leave if they won't comply.
I'm very disappointed.

Awesome place! Happy to have them in our local community. No complaints at all! I particularly loved their pistachio flavor latte. YUM!
