Maybe I caught them on a bad day, I dunno. From what I was told, it was a very popular place. I first purchased 2 cups of regular coffee, and I love strong dark roast coffee, but their coffee tasted bitter and burnt. I thought I'd give them a second chance and ordered a Hazelnut latte with two extra shots of espresso, and it was like trying to drink hot, very sweet milk. Would I go back? No!! Nicole was by far the best barista I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Coffee was made perfectly and the breakfast food was heated up perfectly as well! Best spot for coffee in Beaufort! We were in town for the long weekend and hit up City Java three times! I highly recommend getting the Kiss of the Irish ☘️ oh, and the breakfast burrito (delicious!) The baristas were all super friendly too. Definitely a go-to spot while you’re in town! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
