Had a good experience at this Chuy’s for lunch. The service was good! The food tasted great. They do a traditional arrzo con polio but it’s not clear on the menu. Everything tasted great, especially their chips are my favorite! Good atmosphere and we had attentive service from the staff. As long as people keep making excuses for poor service there will never be any motivation for restaurants to change. Seated at 6pm and sat with our menus out waiting for our server. About 4 servers walked by dozens of times serving everyone around us - even people who were seated after us. There were lots of empty tables and no one waiting so confused at the delay. Finally, after 15 minutes of waiting, as we were preparing to leave (it was obvious we weren't going to get served) Brittany shows up and announces she is our server. I asked why she'd walked by us multiple times and never acknowledged us? She claimed she "didn't see you". I worked as a server all through high school and college and I know a lie when I hear it. Of course, she saw us - it's her job to pay attention to the tables in her section. At that point we just left. Nothing was going to salvage the night. I noticed their menu was pared down and combining the limited selection with poor service and there was no reason to eat there or really ever to go back. Servers are super nice Tortilla Chips are one of the bests I have, thin and crispy, food are largely portioned with good price. One of my favorite dine in TexMex restaurant.
