Had lunch there today. Food was good, price was fair, the service was awful. Dirty plates were not picked up, we had to beg for refills on our soda and for the final bill. Usually look forward to coming here when driving on i94. But lately this buffet has been off. I give it a D- at best. Two days in a row and they've been mediocre. It’s basically a truck stop restaurant. I’m not sure how it has 2k plus reviews and a 4 ⭐️ rating. The General Tso’s chicken is made from leftovers with a refrigerator flavor, no potstickers when we were there so both of my go to dishes were absent or inedible. I was not happy with the quality any of the items I tried for the cost . Also I didn’t see the almond cookies that one usually finds on the buffets but they were selling cookies in bags at checkout, I think perhaps the almond cookies are an extra cost. We've dined at this location for several years & the food is good and the service excellent. I always find enough variety that satisfies my appetite. The atmosphere is a little dark, with windows only at the front & rear of the building. We couldn't find a seat near a window, which was a little disappointing, but we got what we came for...good food. Thanks to them, I won't have to cook supper! I have passed by this place many times and never had a desire to give it a try. Then I had a couple people recommend it, one saying it's the only Chinese restaurant they'll go to. So I thought, why not? There was a great variety to choose from and everything I sampled was delicious except maybe the fried rice which I was a little bummed about. I'm a huge fried rice fan and this didn't have much taste. Some of my favorites were the baked crabmeat, crispy chicken and bourbon chicken. I had some little coffee roll dessert that I had to go back for seconds on. Very clean and comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff. I look forward to many more visits and highly recommend! By far the worst restaurant I've ever eaten at. I'll be surprised if I don't get food poisoning. Non of the food was editable. They don't even de vain the shrimp, the sushi was soggy and there were nats flying around. I should have known better before I walked in by the smell from the outside. This place is one of favorite across the entire country. The food is so good and the service is always good. Just wanted to add something I forgot before, The green bean dish is so good and fresh, how fresh? Look at the pictures. They do this every day that I've seen. This Chinese buffet is standard fare. But you can tell from the parking lot that is popular with truckers and those coming off the highway. It is an easy and easy out. They have buffet to go. I would come here again.
