Takeout. The waiting for food longer than the time estimate said was not my concern but ordering steak medium and getting it rare to Pittsburgh rare after waiting is upsetting. We love chili's back home and decided to stop in on this trip to Connecticut. The service was on time, and they gave us the take out bag right at the car. On the website, the BBQ Brisket sandwich caught my eye. But the sandwich was nothing like what was advertised. There was no BBQ sauce, and the brisket was a few stray pieces. Sadly, all I received was a hamburger with pickles. I ordered it well done, but the burger still had some pink inside. So why ask how you want it cooked if you don't make sure to deliver it to the way the customer asked. See my photo for the sad looking brisket sandwich and compare it to the website. Very misleading menu item. The boneless wings were better. They do let you choose between two flavors. However, they are packed to go in one large container. While they were tasty, the flavors were all mixed together. Mago habenaro mixed with sweat chili zing. A simple divided container would prevent flavors from mix. Some of the boneless wings were that hard meat you sometimes get. Our side salad was nothing special, and my mashed potatoes were yummy as always. Anyway, we normally eat I. But after a long drive, I tried the pickup service. But I would say the food is usually better eating in and ot provides a way to fix your food. This Chili’s needs serious help and additional customer service training!!! I visited this Chili’s for the first time last night with my friend and had a great time until I was harassed by some guy who was not my waitress for my ID. I am 24 years old and maybe I look young, which is fine, but after my waitress asked for my ID, I was asked a SECOND time and very rudely by some hispanic guy who had a serious stick up his butt and made my friend and I very uncomfortable. I understand this establishment has issues with carding minors, but that’s ABCDEFGHIJKLMNot my problem. I was having a great night until this man ruined it and made me extremely uncomfortable by his demeanor. I spoke with my waitress regarding the issues but needed to post it here to make sure higher management sees. Will definitely not be returning for any watered down drinks and trash service especially from the guy who wipes down the tables. The restaurant was packed, likely due to the holidays. We had a long wait but the staff was quite friendly. Our server was excellent!!! Great with her patrons, very attentive. The kitchen had a couple of errors on our meal orders but overall it was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend. I was brought here today because of a buy 1 entree get 1 50% off deal that my girlfriend had emailed to her. I ordered the surf & turf sirloin which was supposed to come with steak, shrimp, loaded potatoes and brocolli. Upon opening my container at home I was very disappointed to find that there was no shrimp or brocolli and I honestly did not want to get back in the car and go all the way back for the other missing 50% of my meal. Gentlemen who was taking care of to go orders was wonderful and had exceptional customer service. However, when I noticed he had his hands full, I easily went inside to pick up my food order without an issue. Older Caucasian gentleman before me was being helped and I waited in line patiently. Once he was handed his food, the woman at the counter completely DISREGARDED the fact that I was standing there after him. Caucasian, colored eye, sporting a pony, made zero eye contact with me and walked back and forth before her friend came walking through the door with her coffee. She acknowledged her coffee and her friend before even considering to notice I was standing there. Before letting that situation go on any further I saw the gentlemen from outside and simply told him I was picking up. I was standing there the whole time with clear view of my food right behind the woman who CARED LESS. He handed me my food and apologized. Which clearly wasn’t his fault, as his hands were full. Please do better, selective hearing is one thing. But selective seeing is crazy. Not ok, and I will not be ordering here again. Walked in to no acknowledgment. No heys or hello’s or welcome to chilis…You could tell the servers didn’t want to greet us. Then when the server did see us you could tell she was hesitant to greet us. Like she was waiting for one of the others ones to beat her to it. Instead when she tried to weasel her way out of seating us, then ensued a highly inappropriate conversation between the other ladies who all told our server that they had taken multiple tables in & it was “her turn”. She rolled her eyes & obliged then told us she’d have to put 2 tables together or two booths. We took the booths. After taking our drink order we realized the tables were wobbling with excitement. We couldn’t keep our drinks safely on the tables. So we moved to another booth. Table was worse. We moved again. Let’s not forget my husband & myself had our six kids, we moved all our drinks, utensils, appetizers by ourselves, TWICE! When we got our appetizer it’s missing and extra order of egg rolls. My husband & I ordered watermelon margaritas & only got one, the other was plain. Then the kids get their food & the server tells my daughter I know you wanted corn but you got fries. Mind you this wasn’t even our original server, just the guy bringing out the food. I watched our server mindlessly tap her fingers in boredom. If doing the bare minimum was a person, it was definitely our server. Honestly not the worst experience I’ve had. Just the character of this establishment. Overall all the food wasn’t hot. Haven't been to a Chili's in years. Unfortunately my hometown doesn't have one so I was excited to have one near our hotel and to bring my kids for the first time. We were seated quickly considering it was a Saturday night at 8pm. Server was friendly. She shared that several items are coming off the menu which helped me make my selection. Following our food being served by a runner, we never saw our server again until it was clear we were done eating and ready for our bill. She never checked on us. We declined desert and she turned the table's tablet toward me and legit walked away. Never offered assistance, to-go boxes for our remaining food...just nothing. Dinner Items: Chicken tenders and corn Shrimp tacos Mushroom burger Drinks: Sodas Appetizer: Nachos *Okay this one threw me. I thought we would get a pile of loaded nachos but instead we received a few nachos with baked cheese. I’ll start out by saying I rarely give poor reviews as I always give the benefit of doubt to every establishment. I’ve been to other Chili’s locations many times before. The food is always average, so this wasn’t a shocker, but it’s not terrible. I took my kids to this location last night for a fun night out to dinner. We were seated at a corner table and essentially forgotten about. No one brought us utensils or asked us for drinks etc. until I got up and flagged down a random waitress to ask who was assigned for my table. Finally we were asked what we wanted. Shortly afterward we were told a couple of the things we had ordered were not available. So we ordered replacements. Our entrees came, our starter never did. I asked the server who brought the food out (not the waitress) about it and was asked, “well do you still want it?” Then we were forgotten about again and I had to flag down a staff member to ask for my check so I can leave. They overcharged me for my entree. The waitress said she’d go and fix it. Another 15 min later she comes back and I pay and get out of there, never to return again.
