Stopped in to eat on our way back to College Station. This one is nicer than the one we have. Love the fish tank! Food was good. The new item of Meatloaf was out. Darn! Still enjoyed our meal and waitress was attentive! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I love Cheddar's. They've got the best food and their employee's are so friendly. I've been picking up lately and my orders are always correct and the food is so good. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Alfredo with broccoli and the portion was enough for two. I also ordered the Dijon Chicken & Mushroom dinner, it was so delicious!! Very tasty. Very nice surprise. The food was delicious, with large serving sizes and good variety. Service was good, and the facility was clean and well laid out. We ate too much food to try a dessert, but we will definitely come back and order something sweet. Went for lunch with my wife. As we walked in we were greeted half heartedly by a hostess that seemed like she had other things she would rather be doing. Got seated and the waitress was there in no time. Drinks were brought out quickly and order was taken. The wait for food was pretty long. My chicken fried steak was good, but there was more batter than meat, overkill in my view. The wife liked her bacon cheeseburger. It was very big and pretty tasty, I got to finish off what she couldn't eat. Prices we fair. Overall a good experience but not great. My wife and I dined here recently for dinner. We were quickly seated with no wait. Our server appeared also in a timely manner. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with sides of Southern Green Beans and Broccoli Mac n Cheese. The steak was tender and large sized. The Mac n cheese was tasty. The green beans tended to be very sweet which I did not care for. My wife had the Blackened Salmon with Southern Green Beans and Cole Slaw. She also did not care for the beans which the server gladly exchanged for a Loaded Baked Potato. My wife said the Cole Slaw was very good. I also tried it and liked it very much. Of course the Honey Butter Croissants were great. The server was efficient and pleasant. The menu prices were reasonable. I was actually pleasantly surprised that they were as low as they were although you're not dining in a 5 star restaurant. Overall this was a nice dining experience. If one desires overall pretty good food with reasonable to low pricing then I don’t think one would be disappointed with Cheddar’s dining. Edit: We did later return. I had the fried Chicken/Shrimp Combo with green beans and red beans & rice. The chicken was very tasty with the gravy for dipping. The shrimp was also good with the included cocktail sauce for dipping. The wife had grilled chicken which she enjoyed. While the green beans were undercooked, overall the meal was good. As a bonus I had the Swirl Sangria which is margarita and sangria swirled together. It was nice. As always the buttery Croisants were great. In general the food here is ok, not spectacular, but "one does get what one pays for" as the saying goes. This restaurant is in a great location , near hotels and the Tanger outlets. There was plenty of parking behind the restaurant. Upon arrival we had to wait about 5 minutes at the entrance because there was no one there to seat us. Once we were seated , I had to dust the food out of my chair. We waited a good bit for our waitress. She was pleasant and responsive to our needs. We ordered our food right away but the wait to get it was extensive. Our waitress said it was backed up In the back so we were patient. I ordered a condiment on the side but my dish came slathered in it. I did not send it back because I didn't want to wait again for a new dish. The food was hot when it came and did taste as expected. We ordered the chocolate cake fudge sundae. It was supposed to be warm, but no..it was refrigerator cold and wayyyyy more icing than it was cake. Overall experience was mehhh...didn't hate it, but didn't love it.
