Great food. Great prices. The kimbap was phenomenal. So fresh and so good. My favorite thing I tried. It came with wasabi and soy sauce. It’s traditionally eaten by itself but nothing wrong with a little soy sauce. The squid app was fine. They threw in fried onion and bell pepper with it. I was hoping for a little more squid for the price. The kanpungi was really good. I got beef. It was listed as spicy but wasn’t at all. I’d recommend getting shrimp kanpungi. Their kimchi rice was good. But I could barely taste the kimchi. I don’t think it was fermented enough. It’s listed as spicy but was not at all. Their chili oil needs a lot of work. It was spicy but not tasty or like any regular chili oil I’ve had. And the prices are really good for the portions you are getting. The service was great too. my go to frfr. one of my comfort places, i love love love the kimchi fried rice with chicken!!!! i come here a lot and have ordered a lot of food but i dont take pictures often and for all of them, but personally, i think kinchi fried rice and the cold noodels are must try for sure. everything is welly seasoned, it just hits. good portion as well. imagine u r hungry at night and u just so crave sth but u r not sure what u crave, then this is it, anything from this place will cure ur craving. i have not tried the majority of the menu yet but those i have tried so far did not disappoint me. this place is pretty busy all the time so the wait might be a bit long (again, also depends on the day) but after that, the workers there are really fast, quick pace and friendly. i also gotta say that i have gotten food delievered from here and it came it great conditions and taste just as good as well. vibes here are chill and cool af, its really hustling and lively. they r on a more fancyish side than some local lowkey restaurants for sure. this review seems so all over the place but the overall rating i would give is 4.7/5. i love it a lot, im biased but prob one of the best in east lansing Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes kimchee fried rice 辣白菜炒饭

Not sure why the orange chicken is a “diy” type of set up. Very unfortunate that this isn’t authentic, or maybe I’m too used to Chinese from the mall.. but it’s definitely better than here when it comes to this dish. I’ve gone here a few times! This time we got jjanjangmyeon, tteokbokki and some kind of jjigae. Food is pretty authentic, but not the BEST of best. But it’s pretty cheap for college students so nothing could beat that. I think they do a pretty good job on soups. The only thing that’s an inconvenience is parking. Food was incredible, we ordered the Galbi and Dwaejigogi Bokkum, with the Hae Mul Pa Jun as a starter. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and attentive without being intrusive. Our waitress in particular was spectacular, thank you Mika! We will definitely come back to this restaurant to try other dishes. Charlie Kang’s is the REAL DEAL in authenticity regarding Asian food!!! I especially enjoyed eating with Stainless Steel Chop Sticks for the first time in my life!!! Now, THAT’S class!!! UPDATE: Went back on Feb 2023 and every food item we ordered was super SALTY!! When the waiter came around and asked how everything was, so my grandma said the foods we ordered were salty. The waiter just looked at us and went away like it wasn't his problem 🤦‍♀️ The restaurant needs to hire qualified employees or train their employees.. and bring back their old chef... ---‐---‐------------------‐----- Some time in 2022: You get so much food for what you pay for. A very good reasonably priced lunch menu I must say. They also include the complimentary Korean side dishes, I was given four of them. The squid lunch special comes with soup too and for $9 it's pretty amazing!. Service is excellent, wifi wasn't strong where I initially was seated(towards the entrance) so the lady was kind enough to offer me a table at the back.
