Visited this restaurant during lunch on a Sunday. The service was above the bar, truly. The food was excellent!!! The bar staff was--- awesome!!! My bracelet fell off, and when I called the restaurant back, the male bartender held on to it. I was so happy to receive it. It was a gift from my eledst child. And unlike most places, it was still there. That will always set Char apart from other local restaurants in the Jackson Area. Legendary food and service. These were the nicest and calmest waiting staff I’ve ever been served by. And the food was unmatched compared to anywhere else in the city. My mom and I picked this place out for our shared birthday dinner and I was thoroughly impressed for a first time guest. We both had the daily soup, a broccoli and cheddar, which was incredible and flavorful. We had the rib-eye steaks for our entrées, very tender and juicy, and finished with some of the best pecan pie I’ve ever had. The only complaint I could have is with the broccoli which was rather plain but the entire experience from start to finish is one we won’t soon forget. Also aleigha our server is awesome! Crab cakes are some of the best I’ve ever had! Melted in my mouth! Pecan pie is amazing! Almost as good as Momma’s. The staff was exceptional! Service was amazing. If I could change one thing, it would be the atmosphere. It is a bit loud for such a nice restaurant. Over all wonderful night! My girl and I had a great time.....Our charcuterie board was so good. The romantic candle lighting set the mood. Our drinks were on point as well. I ordered the new york steak and it was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were a also delicious. All thumbs up from me and I'll definitely be going back soon.
