Hidden Gem!! We enjoyed every moment of our dining experience at Cedar + Stone, Urban Table! From the 5-star service by Raven to our attentive, kind server Amy and the poised gentlemen who assisted her to the gorgeous aesthetics and deliciously crafted appetizers, entrees & dessert! We’ve dined out a lot during our first couple’s getaway in Bloomington this week & this has been by far our most enjoyable & most memorable dining experience❣️Can’t wait to return - hopefully we can fit in another visit before we fly home! We highly recommend the flavorful & beautifully-plated pork chop & veggies, the shrimp & grits, brussels sprouts and the incredible-tasting, unique bread pudding w/fresh fruit! This was an interesting place to eat. Located off of Mall of America and part of a hotel. We got to sit in the bar area where it was dark and quiet. The main dining area was a bit on the loud side. Our server, Jackie, was absolutely wonderful. She offered suggestions and time. I had the bone in porkchop with carrots, and my partner git the shortribs with carrots. We also got a couple of sides. The fries with truffles were out of this world, as was the white cheddar grits. We also got a side of rolls. The rye roll with nuts and raisins was more than delicious. Pricing is more than you would expect, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. This is impeccable food and service. I wish this experience had been simply forgettable rather than downright bad. The salmon was so overcooked it was tough and burned my tongue, and the kale salad was underdressed and uneventful. Food and service were excellent. Filet was perfectly prepared and shrimp were the largest I have ever had. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely professional. We had a lunch date here and loved it. As part of the JW Marriot, the service was first class. Between the cutlery changes between plates, courtesy check-ins at every plate, and thanking for being a Marriot card holder, the server did everything right. The place was easy to get to from the mall and not crowded for a Friday lunch. The menu was limited but adequately varied with options. The salads with steaks we had were well worth the $30+. Well, you don't really go in here to get a "value meal," but the steak quality, overall ingredients quality and presentation was in our opinion well worth the price for the place, compared to similarly priced offerings in restaurants across the mall. Kudos to the team. Semi-fine dining at its best, conveniently at the MOA.
