6 of us Ladies dined here for lunch Feb13 for a get together for our neighbors Pre Valentine's Day.Everyone that ordered chicken dishes were very unhappy. The chicken was so salty we couldn't eat it.Our waitress notified
the manager and she was real disrespectful saying it was not salty and that's the way it came and proceeded to argue about it which I couldn't even understand. We each took maybe 2 bites and ordered something else. When our ticket came she charged us half price for the meals we sent back and said we ate half of it which we did not! I can understand if we had ate it all or even half of it but that was a lie and uncalled for to charge us for a meal we couldn't eat! I don't recommend this restaurant at all and will not be back!

I've lived in Denison for 5 years, and this is the first time I've eaten at this restaurant. I ordered from Uber Eats, so I can't give a review of the inside. The food on the other hand, was amazing!! I Highly recommend this place! The portions are huge, and the food is delicious.

Chips with Salsa
This place is phenomenal. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was working his first day there, and very knowledgeable. I ordered the chicken flautas and they were the very best I’ve ever had. I also ordered the queso. Oh my gosh…it was amazing. My kids got fajitas. They had gotten them once before and were so impressed they ordered them again. I highly recommend!

My husband and I were blown away by the ambiance, service, and especially this food at this authentic Mexican restaurant. Friendly staff, affordable and delicious happy hour drinks, and food that reminded us of upscale dining in Mexico. All of our entrees were prepared with high quality, fresh ingredients and made to highlight the flavors of the food instead of drown in grease and cheese. Don’t leave without an order of the Churros, DROOL. Wasn’t expecting to find this level of cuisine in Denison, Texas! This is our new favorite place. Wow.

Chile Relleno
First time visit went fairly well. The place is bigger than it appears from the outside. There's just a ton of space inside; it feels a bit cavernous inside. (If you ever need a table for a party of a dozen or more, the Cantina can definitely accommodate you.)
The red salsa and chips at the table were pretty good. The salsa was a bit mild, but pleasant. The chips were fresh and crunchy.
The enchiladas were very well presented. I'm not used to Tex-Mex places making efforts to plate the food for visual aesthetics, but the Cantina Lime definitely does.
There was a downside to this, though. Personally, I like enchiladas drenched in sauce. It's not exactly pretty, but it's definitely tasty. At the Cantina, it's more "drizzled" than drenched; much tidier and more visually appealing, but there is a tradeoff. Aside from the low sauce amount, the sour cream enchiladas were good. I also liked the black beans and rice sides.
The iced tea deserves special mention. Most places it's fairly mild, but at the Cantina the tea was brewed refreshingly strong. Kudos.
The staff was friendly and pleasant. The chef even visited our table to ask how everything was. Definitely good customer service.

we came for my brothers birthday and all 5 of us were so happy with the experience and the food. i had a watermelon + mango mojito which was refreshing and delicious. great spot for a large group as the restaurant is very spacious.
This place is really good! We ordered the Carne Asada tacos (no pics for this, my husband just dug into them!) the shredded chicken 🐓 taco bowl (2), Enchilada plate w/3 different types of enchiladas, awesome, Guacamole 🥑 dip, yummy 😋 and some red salsa 😋and chips!!! And the bathroom was meticulously kept!!

Chicken Flautas
Will definitely return. Great for a date night or a girls casual dinner.
Order tacos: a la mode (8.4 out of 10) big, messy, delicious - everything a taco should be. Steak Chimichurri (4.5 out of 10) meat was well well done, I asked for medium rare. Had a char flavor & didn’t get the chimichurri part of it. Blackened Fish Taco (8.2) delicious but could of used an extra ounce of fish. Tortillas were hand made which was awesome. Great service. Manager was great. Waitress was very attentive. Server were very nice.
Had carrot cake too. Presentation was amazing. Clearly homemade. A tiny dry but the ice cream made it so much better. And not too sweet. (8 out of 10)
Glad to have more options in the Sherman Denison area.
It is a little more pricey than the typical spot around town BUT the place is very clean, has nice upscale decor and the service was excellent. We need more options like this in town.
Now the all important food:
Queso Blanco was really good with more than enough for 3-4 people. Chips are nice and warm and the salsa was more runny than I usually prefer but good.
The tacos had good flavor, but were a bit tough to eat, I would maybe recommend serving with 2 layers of the corn tortilla instead of just one as the taco fell apart.
The beans and Mexican rice were good.
The 3 enchilada plate was also good. The sauces for the enchiladas sort of ran off as they were also very thin. The white rice was very good and very well cooked.
I think the servings are fine in portion but could use some work on the details. The place is very nice and clean and the service was fantastic. I would definitely go again but would like to see a little more value built into the food. The music in the bathrooms is extremely loud...
