Cancun's in Waxahachie is a great place to go for Mexican and American food. With a large variety of options, there is something for everyone. The breakfast menu has an unbeatable special, and the catfish special on Fridays is also very popular. The salsa and chips are delicious, as is the guacamole. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the owner Refrugio is often seen in the kitchen or walking around the restaurant checking on customers. Unfortunately, the restaurant does have some issues. The waiting staff can be slow and the ice cream machine is often out of order. The bathroom can also smell bad. Additionally, some customers have reported receiving incomplete orders and cold food. All in all, Cancun's is a great place to visit for a casual meal with family and friends.

Hubby & I had breakfast here this morning. The music was too loud, which made everyone around us speak louder, not good if you're sensitive to noise. Hubby was disappointed in the amount of food on his plate. The waitress was supposed to bring a plate of tortillas.....that never showed up. My breakfast was nothing to write home about. We've been here before for breakfast, I don't remember it being this bad. Definitely wasn't worth $36. The whole point of eating out is to enjoy dishes that you don't typically make at home. My wife and I came to Cancun to celebrate my birthday. We’ve been several times and the food is decent and the service is usually pretty good. I usually get the chicken enchiladas but a lot of times I’ll order a plate that’s half nachos half quesadilla tonight that’s what I wanted and I tried to order that, the server told me they couldn’t do half orders. I explained that I did not want a half order. I wanted to get a that was half quesadillas and half nachos. I pointed out that they were the same price and I was certainly willing to pay an up charge to get a mix of the two. They refused to accommodate this request said they could give me an order of each, but would not accommodate my request. That to me felt like a no-brainer customer service situation that could’ve been avoided. We had every intention on buying several cocktails had already placed an order for an appetizer. I asked to speak to the manager, and the manager provided significantly worse, customer service than the server, and did not seem at all interested in accommodating, my very minor request, which I again offered to pay an up charge for. I ordered the Quesabirria Tacos. They were perfect and plentiful with the meat. I ordered a side of charro beans which tasted great, but have slices of hotdogs, which honestly I wouldn't order again because of that, maybe substitute bacon in place. Margaritas on the rocks were good, but the glasses were dirty. I would definitely come back just for thr Birria tacos alone. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Gorgeous patio!!!! Feels like you really are in Cancun! The food and service are amazing. They have really big portions here and the service is top notch. It was a great choice to celebrate my son's school awards. I really want to come back during the evening to sit on that patio overlooking a pond with fountain and kick back some margaritas. We came back for breakfast and it was just as good as the lunch/dinner menu. The grits were amazing and the french toast was huge! Will def be back! This place was amazing. It's kinda tucked away so I've past it many times and didn't realize. I had the nachos and ate off of them for two days. The fajita beef was so so good and tender and they were very generous with it. I also liked that they had options in the menu that were home cooking type things too so it's easier to please a crowd with different tastes. My co workers and I work twelve hour shifts. As you can imagine the guys tend to get mouthy lol, We came here to eat and the waitresses handled our vibe very well!! It was like we were dining with friends!! Super positive atmosphere!

My family visited last week while we were in town and i really enjoyed everything about the place, the food was amazing! we ordered menudo, shrimp fajitas and their Queso Blanco. It was a little chili and they even have small blankets in case you get cold by the bar. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Emilio ( Owner) even checked on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We spend 5 hours there just eating and drinking with our family and the whole time we were attended with no issues and never felt rushed to leave, The staff even gave me some to go chips and salsa for the road. Very popular place to eat! It's a great family gathering place to dine in. The wait time for 4 ppl they told us was 20 min. But it actually took 5 min. Our waitress was busy with a lot of orders! My parents always use to come here before they past away! Keeping the tradition! A May Zing! New fave place near us. Sizzling platter of Parrillada fajitas with everything is fantastic. The beef especially, which was half the meat on the platter, was seasoned & grilled perfectly, tender & tasted amazing. Mango tea was her “best drink I’ve ever had.” Generous portions, we took about 1 meal worth home.
