2nd time eating here and it did not disappoint. I got the smothered pork chop and it was just like how my grandma would make it. Pork chop was juicy rice was refectory cooked. Took a good minute to get our food after we ordered. Possibly 30 minutes or better. There was only 2 other patrons in the restaurant. When the food arrived the Hash browns were cool, eggs were cool, chicken fried steak was cool. Expected the temperature to be hot considering the wait. I did this place for a catered work lunch and the way they served us was unbeatably great. As for the food, the blackened catfish and Mac&cheese were so very good but the pork chops were heavenly! Especially with the mashed potatoes and cream gravy! Come and try this place because it's phenomenal! And as a bonus, they had donation boxes for local charities, that's a nice touch! The food was amazing. We got chicken fried chicken and the kids got Mac and cheese and corn dog bites. The serving sizes were a lot for such an affordable price. The service was so excellent. They were friendly and fast and checked on us. So so so kind. Highly recommend this place. We are from out of state but will definitely return if we are in Fort Worth area again. The chicken fried chicken was dry, the gravy was orange and tasted like they mixed brown gravy and cream gravy together, and the green beans were GREASY! I could see the grease stay on my fork when I picked it up out of the green bean “juice”. Came back again and it was just as good as the first time we checked the place out which prior to the pandemic. The food still had great flavor. I had a kids meal with Mac & cheese and mash potatoes with cream gravy. The Mac & cheese had really good flavor and was creamy. The potato's had some skin left on and the gravy had real bacon in it. The kids meal comes with a drink. My fiancé got the daily special which is $3 cheaper than regular price. He got the chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes and gravy and corn. The chicken was cooked just right not dry at all the breading was crispy and had a good flavor. We split the banana pudding and it had chucks of banana in it and was so yummy! Update-6/21/2023 I ordered this same meal again two days later & received utensils this time. So I’m changing the review from a 4-star to a 5-star. This place is so good! I’ve ordered via a delivery service several times and everytime the food is great. Today, I had the blackened catfish, dirty rice and the best green beans I’ve ever had lol My only complaint is, I did not receive utensils or napkins to eat my food with. I was in a place where it wasn’t available, but luckily I had both in my car for times like today. The food so far is definitely a 5-star rating. WOW!!!! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! officially our new favorite place, everything was so delicious, clean, the staff was friendly and fast....the fried bacon was sooooo good. You won't regret coming here! UPDATE we are back for another DELICIOUS meal... I can't say enough about this place but what I will say is this is LITERALLY the BEST catfish I've ever had.... They also have really good chicken tender meals for the family that are way more affordable than the big names...we're officially hooked.
