Stopped by for dinner with family. Two got BLTs, and one got the 290. The food was good and reasonably priced. They also seemed to have a lot of options. It was a little bit dingy, but that might've just been the weather. (Cold, overcast, and rainy) Nice bathrooms and friendly staff. Overall, it's a good place to eat. I recommend it. Woooohoo love this place. Fluffiest and best pancakes when I’m too lazy to make them. Texas breakfast toast husband loved it. And we also got the hot dog so filling and filled with toppings. They have daily specials I believe. We got meatloaf to go. Will come back again. Back in 09/2023 we ordered to go for football game at home and then we were missing half our chicken wings (mango habanero) so we called them and they said they would take care of it for us. Love this place, the waitresses are great and work their butts off serving customers. The food is usually spot on but today my BLT was lacking the B and had a scorched like flavor. IDK how that can be but.... I think I had half of a tomato on it to make up for lack of bacon. My friend and I stopped in for breakfast to celebrate the anniversary of her receiving a heart transplant. We arrived at 830am on a Saturday so plenty of space to choose from. I LOVE THAT THEY LET ME CHOOSE WHERE TO SIT!! Debra our waitress was sweet and listened to my storytelling. She had some recommendations that were good. I ended up getting waffles and adding chicken strips. (Yes they were real chicken strips not frozen) I got the jalapeno ranch on the side so yummy. The waffle was smaller than the picture but shaped like Texas. The picture made me think it was going to be the old fashioned ones. It was still delicious. I LOVE that they serve hot melted better and warm syrup!! It was so good I ate it all. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I wait 40 minutes to get my order. I got to my car to only find out my order was incorrect. I returned. I ordered chicken but I received catfish then, I ordered green bean but got cabbage. The waitress claimed twice that she heard me order catfish and that she could prove it, cause it was on camera. I said show me. She later came back and said the boss said I ordered fish but they were going to get the chicken. Another 15 minutes to get my correct order. Food was good but the service sucked. This place is Awesome! If you are driving through to Austin from Houston stop here. The Queso Covered Chicken Fried Chicken here is the best I have ever had! This is just a really neat place! Good Service when I went and the food was on Point. Atmosphere was small town Diner type of thing and I am really into that so it was great for me. They also had breakfast options at lunch time. Very good cute little place, a lot of the food was homemade so it took a while but I was willing wait. The servers are all very nice and compliment you a lot, make you feel like film even! I'm glad we tried this place even though it's not as "glamorous" as some of the other places, it was still worth it! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Phenomenal corn, so flavorful. Garlic Parmesan sauce is amazing too. Goes very well with the pork chop. One time I got perfect fried tomatoes, and the other time they were burned. My husband asked for no cheese in his burger and a side salad instead of fries. But side salad appeared to contain shredded cheese in it. Menu didn't specify and a waiter didn't tell. Excellent breakfast all day at prices you would expect to see about 10 years ago! (Which is great considering how expensive most restaurants are these days.) Friendly and prompt service, endless and speedy coffee refills, and an ambiance that hearkens back to the Austin of old. Parking can be a little rough, but that's usually a sign the food is good! First time here! Excellent roadside diner food! Generous portions and fresh food. The Club sandwich was HUGE and the fried pickle spears were an unexpected and excellent side dish. Not pictured was the delicious Cherry cheesecake I had for dessert! Heather, our waitress, was super friendly and attentive. What a great little gem of a diner just outside Austin!
