Maybe I picked the wrong time to visit given the parking lot was empty as well as the inside dining area, however you’d think to receive the best version of what a establishment has to offer since it’s “slow”. I ordered 2 Philly cheesesteaks and they was probably the worst I’ve had for $31, I also left a $5 tip. The meat tasted as if the griddle the food was cooked on hadn’t been cleaned after many uses, the bread wasn’t toasted either it just was a soggy dirty oil tasting sandwich and lacked any cheese or steak profile taste which I don’t believe the option of cheese wiz would’ve help, over all it wasn’t a good experience eating here and I most likely won’t return I’m not from Philly, but I also know this is not a representation of one of the most famous sandwiches in the least bit either… hope you’re food taste and is presented better than mines was should you visit this establishment ….i have no recommendations for their menu items. This place is absolutely amazing! My only concern that truly bothers me is that I worked in a restaurant for 11 years. The gentleman cooking in the kitchen don’t wear gloves. In a restaurant you are required to wear latex gloves when cooking food. My food is being touched when put into the basket. You highly suggest to start making the cooks wear gloves. It’s unsanitary. Stopped in today since we were in the area to have lunch my wife and to visit nephews and myself. We ordered, and I was handed the receipt for the charge and it just did not seem like it was enough. I asked a question to the young lady to make sure that she had charged me correctly. She replied yes that she had charged me correctly but had noticed that I was wearing a Marine Corps t shirt, which I was. And that she had given me a discount for my service. I was a little confused because I just did not recall asking for one. And I was not sure if they offered discounts to veterans. Most places just lack the integrity to take the initiative to offer a discount. Or there is some stipulation to get the discount. In which most casas veterans just don't ask for one. All this to say thank you very much to you and your business and to the young lady at the front for taking the initiative. You guys really made my day thank you again and see you soon. Ate here last night and it was not a great experience. My kid ordered a corn dog and fries and her corn dog came out 10 minutes after the adults sandwiches came to the table, but they forgot to include the fries which came out another 10 minutes after the corn dog. Having to explain to a disappointed child that they needed to be patient for their food while trying to enjoy my own is not a good experience. The burger I got was not seasoned and extremely over cooked. It tasted like a reheat. The patty was also much smaller than the bread it was served with. It felt like something I’d prepare at home with little effort. The chicken sandwich my wife got was sliced very thin and she did not eat the entire sandwich because some parts of the patty were so over cooked that they were inedible. Pictured: Philly cheesesteak w gouda and cheddar, mushrooms, onions, easy bell pepper. 2.7/5, it didnt have much flavor or seasoning. The meat was cooked well though, i think chopped grilled onions would have been a better option here, and the cheese didnt really melt that well at all. My sister got a fried chicken sandwich, she gave it a 2/5, she said it didnt have much flavor and the chicken breast was HUGE. The best thing we ate were the chili cheese fries. Dang those fries were delicious. Salty and great. 5/5. I personally liked the hushpuppies, i give them a 4/5. my sister gave them a 3/5. but it was a good amount of food for only $24. This place recently gained new management, but unfortunately they’re still the same racists inside. I’m a huge Philly lover and would eat here so much more but because they have certain signs on their walls, I’ll never come back. I also never understood why any business owner would EVER post any personal political beliefs on their establishment. I will also make sure none of my friends and family ever go back because of this. They truly care about their jobs here! Cashier lady was so sweet! Floors and tables were freshly cleaned right when we came, tables immediately wiped off when we left! Came in and did a build your own, based on the cashiers recommendation, so I did and got home to a sloppy mess. Would be a much higher score if only based on flavor. However, upon getting my Philly to go and only going 10 minutes down the road I opened my box to see that there was so much whizz on it I couldn’t even pick it up, and when I did manage to the entire sandwich just fell apart. I was highly impressed with my experience here today. My family has dined in once and gotten togo twice. We stopped about 3 years ago. The food was good but nothing to rave about. The reason we stopped patronizing this business was the customer service. The thin woman who was about 50-60 years old was flat out RUDE every time. From placing orders on the phone to picking them up and even dining in. It was unacceptable. I checked out the recent reviews today and saw they had gone under under new ownership since our last visit and decided to give it a try. The employees were on point with their customer service. Polite, welcoming and pleasant. The burgers were wonderful. Our order was correct. It was a huge change. Good job! My family will continue to return. Thank you. This place is amazing! The Philly cheese steak's bread is ordered specially from Philadelphia. This was the best I've ever had. It's a small locally owned business, and the owner makes you feel appreciated and welcome. If you're looking for a great burger and onion rings, or a Philly cheese steak and fries you can't go wrong here.
