When I'm in a different town than the one I live in, I like to try restaurants that don't exist where I live. I especially love locally owed places. On the advice of a teacher in Syracuse, I tried Black Bison. I will be back. It's 2 hours from my house and in a different time zone, but it's worth it. I had a BLT and fried mushrooms. It's hard to mess up a BLT, but it's also hard to make one pop. Theirs was outstanding. Thick cut bacon, thick cut tomatoes, leaf lettuce, on toasted and buttery wheat bread.
