Be warned: it's not the same place it used to be! Same spot and name, but a totally different concept and atmosphere. If you just feel like having a cuppa with a slice of cake after your bike ride, it's not what you are looking for. If you are interested in gourmet fusion cuisine of top quality or have something special to celebrate, you will not be disappointed. I loved both the old place and the new one, but they are indeed very different. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €60–70 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Conveniently located in the middle of this little nice town. Usual Limburg food, nothing out of the ordinary, but well presented. Friendly and professional staff. Good and comfortable patio furniture. The location is a bit noisy. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Service was not friendly. Never had a place we couldn't switch tables from direct sun to a shade spot outside or inside. No help, only suffer. Better find another place. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Great lunch. Nice place. Friendly staff
Not only the prices are very high but we were not allowed to just have some extra plates for my boyfriend‘s birthday cake. I am pregnant in the 8th month, baked the cake by myself and brought it but we were still not allowed to eat it there with his family although we had a dinner for more than 120€ (made enough profit). I will NEVER go there again. Bad service!!
Best onion soup I have ever had! In the U.S, Mexico, Germany, France, Italy. Delicious, our server was friendly and spoke clear English. The local wine is fruity and smooth, if Iived near by this would be a regular spot to enjoy dinner! 100% recommend
Busy place. Relatively expensive lunch options (it is hard to find an option below 10 euros), but the portions are plenty and tasted good.
A welcoming place to rest after a day hiking in the area, The Herberg offers a unique combination of an idyllic village meeting point and the comforts of a metropolitan bar. The staff is kind and helpful, and the service is quick. A great place to stop when you need a rest!
As you can read on the signs on the walls, one of the best places in the area. Ideal place for a pitstop during an active day. Dogs are allowed and will be hydrated, while you enjoy fellow cyclists charging their bikes and refilling their drinking cans. Average age is on the higher end of the spectrum. The food is very good and if possible the drinks have been turned into an adventures experience. Staff is very very friendly, even when it is (very) busy.

Note: Open from Wednesday to Sunday. Make reservations beforehand if you want to be sure you have a table - if the weather is nice, I recommend booking a table on the beautiful terrace. Wonderful atmosphere; you really feel that the owners care for this place. The restaurant uses as many local ingredients as possible. I can recommend the Fromberg wine which comes from a vineyard located less than 10 km from the restaurant. The house aperitif tastes like summer in a glass. So far we haven't found anything on the menu which isn't good. My favorite is the fish stew, which taste exactly like what I would hope to get when ordering such a dish. If I had to find something negative to say, it would be that the ice cream in my dessert was partially melted when it was served (but it was a particularly warm August evening though).
