This bar and Missiles and More Museum can be both really attractive for tourists. Beach Shop & Grill serves nicely cooked fried oysters, lobster mac and cheese and fried prawns. If hungry, come here for good key lime pie, bread pudding and cheesecakes. It's nice to try delicious wine, draft beer or Mojitos. This place will offer you great coffee, tea or juice. I have dined here twice; once for dinner and once for lunch. Dinner made me pinch myself that I wasn't in this area. I say this because a lot of restaurants are not good here to me, and I miss city living and all the good restaurants. Lunch was a totally different place in my eyes. I ordered a BLT and a sweet tea. My bibb lettuce was not dried off enough, and I was served soggy bread and 1 piece of bacon. This was disappointing for the price tag. I hope the next time I dine in, the prices come down a little bit because this is not the area for these prices and the consistency comes back. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Not only the best place on Topsail, but some of the best food in North Carolina! Hands down some of the most delicious hand crafted plates and drinks. The service is always phenomenal and the staff treats customers with care. A must when on Topsail!!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Beach Shop and Grille is a great date night, and they do have wonderful cocktails. However, I refuse to give my credit card for a reservation to eat at a restaurant. Charging $15 a person for not canceling a dinner reservation within 24 hours is absurd! Beauchaine’s 211 has great views, wonderful food and cocktails that are comparable to the Beach Shop and Grill. You also will get more food for your money. Just an FYI for those who want another date night option but don’t want to give your credit card out just to make a reservation. We have eaten at the Beach Shop & Grill many times over the years and the food, service and atmosphere are always wonderful. My favorite menu item is the ever evolving burger. It is always cooked to perfection and the chef-inspired ingredients (such as fried green tomatoes or bacon jam) are always amazing. Look at that slab of bacon on the picture I uploaded! Other menu items are more upscale if you want to go for a special occasion. The relatively new patio dining area is great on a cool evening. Highly recommended. My wife and I went for a lunch getaway & the experience was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails, food selections, dessert, and the friendliness of our knowledgeable server. The patio was the perfect atmosphere for our lunch date. We will definitely return and will look forward to trying the indoor dining area the next time we vacation here. Wasn't expecting such upscale experience! Lunch had more limited menu. Crab roll was quite good, even though I had to get some interpretation on the menu items. Hubs played it safe with smashburger. Day trip to check out Topsail Island and Surf City. Stopped at Beach Shop & Grill for lunch and split an awesome smash burger & fries with the bride. Very tasty and filling. We enjoyed a lovely dinner outside on the patio!! There was a live band playing and the food was wonderful. The Brussel sprouts were amazing and the KEY LIME PIE was DELICIOUS!!! We really liked the shop inside the restaurant too!! They carry a variety of items--clothes, candles, serving plates, snacks-- that make for perfect gifts. Many locals told us to come here, our last stop before heading home. Glad we decided to eat lunch here, best food on the island. I got the Crispy Shrimp, my husband got the lamb sandwich special. Portions were good for the price and quality. I loved the mix of flavors in mine, Japanese and coastal shrimp washed down with some local NC beers. Staff was exceptional, bartender on the patio was super friendly and had great recommendations. Would definitely love to come back when vacationing TI.
