Amazing decoration and even better food. The menu changes with the season but the quality is always there. If you are looking for your insta food shoot but still want to have good food and a great experience this is the place to go ! Really good service. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Malta. Visited Barbajean for the first time, impressed both with it's decor ambience very attentive Staff but mostly caught up with Jean Pierre Chef Patron. Remember him as student at Institute of Tourism Studies, now Professional and dedicated in chosen career. First visit for new years day lunch. They had a set menu with 4 courses plus focaccia and a palate cleanser for a very reasonable price. Pick of the bunch were the lobster and crab ravioli and the dessert but everything was perfectly cooked and very tasty and with a mix of flavours (some Asian influences with lemongrass and coconut milk based sauce for meagre to beef cheeks in red wine sauce with potato cream and truffles). The service was excellent, not intrusive but there when you need anything. We didn't have to wait at all between dishes, everything came to the table in a steady flow. Overall a great place, will certainly be back when next in Malta.
