My family and I always come to bar Louie but this one time we came the other wings where overcooked and the service was non personable and Chased my husband down and accused him of not paying the bill . Her name is Theresa and we did pay bill we downloaded app Inkind app to pay the bill and it took money out our account remind you this is something that they recommend for you to try the app to save a certain amount by paying a certain amount I’ve never had problems before and I always come to this location and every now and then sugarland location . It was embarrassing and very unprofessional I’m extremely disappointed and disgusted with the service and I overheard the manager on duty he was male and the server Theresa discussing my bill as I came back from the bathroom smh they need to be stopped saying it was my type of payment which still went through. The only upside is it was a nice day and some of the food was good other than that it was a terrible experience for my family and I . Which we only have our self to blame because we usually always go with Gabby who wasn’t on duty at the time . But we’ll know for next time. Please reconsider before downloading that inkind app and letting Theresa be your server .

I went to this location March 3, 2024. I have been to this location many times before and never had any issues except for this night. We sat outside and the service was nonexistent for a long period of time. We had to get the attention of a waiter and even then the service took a long time while others were being served around us. Also, the bouncer/gentle sitting at the front who checks IDs after 9pm failed to do so, so we took our seats outside. We asked for 2 waters from the waiter after finally getting her attention and we never received them. We also ordered beverages. This evening I came with my boyfriend and I showed my Texas ID and he showed his ID from Mexico. We have been there many times before and showed the same exact IDs and were allowed to order alcoholic beverages. But this night they refused service because he did not have a Texas ID or Passport. The manger claimed it was a company policy but, again, they have never refused us service for this before. He also made a strange comment about how he wishes he could accept the ID because we are on the border with Mexico and I don’t see how it’s relevant to the conversation. We accepted the policy and continued to wait for the food we ordered. My boyfriend then proceeded just to walk to the restroom when he was THEN stopped by the bouncer. He asked for his ID which he proceeded to show and told him he was suddenly not welcomed anymore. I don’t understand why it was suddenly not allowed when the waiter didn’t say anything after we ordered the food and he originally didn’t either. It is one thing to have a company policy, but you have to enforce it throughout your entire staff and it should be written somewhere so people are aware. And if this company does not accept foreign IDs they need to make that clear that every foreign individual needs to have their passport because Texas, specifically this area is very diverse, and if you want people to eat and drink comfortably, you need to make it clear so they’re not uncomfortable. We ultimately left without our food and drinks because the whole situation was very confusing.

I came with my girlfriend on March 3rd 2024 like we had many times before but this night was drastically different. We came in like always, sitting in our outside section. It took ages for us to catch the attention of a server and let her know we wanted 2 waters and a menu.
Many minutes later, she brought the menu and no drinks. We eventually ordered food and alcoholic beverages for which she asked for our IDs. My girlfriend showed hers and I showed my ID from Mexico. I have never had any issues when it comes to showering my ID for the age and I have shown it here many times before as well and it was always accepted. The waitress claimed that they do not accept foreign IDs and proceeded to ask if we wanted to talk with a manager. We agreed because it was very confusing why the situation had changed from previous times we have been there. When the manager came he said it was a company policy and that he wished they could accept the ID because we’re so close to the border. Although we didn’t think that made much sense, we accepted the policy and continued to wait for our food. I then decided to use the bathroom while the service was taking so long and started to walk towards the bathroom. I was stopped by the gentleman at the front who checks IDs when it is past 9pm. (He never checked our IDs when we first sat down or the entire time we were there until that point. When I showed him my ID he said I could not go inside and as a matter of fact I couldn’t even be sitting outside. I don’t understand why, up until that point, I was able to sit out there and have my order taken. It is one thing to have a company policy, but it doesn’t make sense when it is not fully enforced by everyone. We ended up leaving without any food and drinks because that is unacceptable behavior.

We used to love to come here to hang out and I know plenty of people that are regulars. Always great service, everyone is wonderful, but the bar SMELLS AWFUL! Every time I walk in, it smells like vomit, I don’t understand how it’s packed out every night and no one notices the smell?! It’s truly bad I don’t get why nothing is done about it?? How are yall enjoying your food and drinks sitting in a funk 😒
