My date and I both order the Beef Wellington. It was delicious as were the roasted baby potatoes, Brussels sprouts and green beans. Our waitress was appropriately attentive and had the sweetest smile. She obviously liked serving the beautiful food and meeting clients expectations. The ambience is everything you would expect from a Scottish or British pub. Sunday night; very conversation friendly. Would definitely recommend and return! Very cool little gem. They have a bagpipe player on the weekends which just adds to the Scottish charm. Our server Anna was excellent, food is delicious very much a comfort food kind of place. When you order food comes out in courses you definitely don't feel rushed, but rather like you can relax and take your time to enjoy your meal, and your date night. It is a bit pricey, but for the food, and atmosphere, and great service it's definitely worth it for a nice night out. My wife, and I will definitely be back. Based on reviews I read about this restaurant, I expected to be bowled over--but I wasn't. It was good, but not great. It was very "old world" elegant. The table was set with beautiful China. The server was very polite, but detached. The first menu we were handed was a 5 page drink menu, 2 dedicated to whiskeys and scotches. The scotch egg was tasty and well prepared but costly at $15 for 1. The chicken liver mousse was well prepared with a touch of fruit compote. The duck was nicely done. The beef wellington is prepared medium rare but seemed fairly small for a $54 entree. The trout was excellent. We did tell the server we were celebrating birthdays. She apologized that no piper was available to play for us. She brought 2 dishes to the table with a dollop of whipped cream and a fingernail sized piece of cake on each. We all enjoyed the meal. Magnificent Scottish restaurant. Bagpipes welcome you as you enter the restaurant. The food is prepared with ONLY fresh ingredients, never pre-fab or frozen, so it takes a little longer. But it is well worth the wait. Try the delicious garlic mushrooms, and anything with the Stilson sauce. Plus, the service is top notch and the tableware is exquisite.
