I've never been disappointed with any aspect of the Avenue Cafe. The food is terrific. It's always fresh. Their Chicken Fried Steak is a work of art, and even better if you order a side salad with Balsamic dressing. The gravy on the steak has a sublime unique taste and texture. Also, the Eggs Benedict are the best I've had in Santa Cruz. Don't let appearances fool you. It might look a bit funky, but the staff are friendly and courteous. Super cute cafe with a great choice of foods. I loved their breakfast, we had their chorizo burritos which hit the spot. Great service. No parking, have to park at beach access lot.
