They are under staffed, the waitess was stressed, rushed, distracted, in a hurry. I asked for a BLT on wheat bread, no frys. Could I have the bacon crispy. She asked if I wanted it burnt crisp ... no, no, not burnt, just crispy. I got toasted dry white bread, burnt crisp bacon with a side of cold frys, The sandwich was worst ever. Just not good! It's being remodeled. I may have been asking a lot the moment we stepped into the restaurant. The first waitress sat us down, didn't ask us what we wanted to drink. Then, another waitress came over and asked us if we were ready to order. I said almost, for some reason we had 3 people coming back and forth. Non seemed friendly or willing to be waitresses. Definitely a hidden gem food quality is superb and a grate value. Even the hash browns are flavorful and not dried out. The staff is super friendly and helpful! I really think this place deserves more credit, I do think that it's a little dated and the fact that there's a lot of suspicious looking people going in and out to play the video poker may be detouring people from wanting to eat there at least that is why I hadn't gone. But all in all I had a great experience I definitely will be back! Also definitely try the biscuits and gravy!! We were seated quickly. Most of our food came out fast. My daughters burger was burned, and my sons chill was so small for being a "meal." They forgot part of my food. My hash browns were 95%raw. The employees were all so overwhelmed with a "huge tip" that was given to them they just couldn't function. There was only us there. The food was sub-par, and the service was lacking. Today, my father and I came in for a simple breakfast. This tiny older woman seated us right away. We sat and looked at the menu for a couple of minutes until we found what we wanted. She went back and forth, serving ice water to the people who had already got their order. We finally just decided to leave after waiting about 20 minutes total. At the very least, if the tiny older lady would have at least given us an update about who would be serving us, a sorry for the wait, or what would you like to drink we might have stayed a bit longer. Absolutely disgusting. The food, once you eventually get it, is barely acceptable, but the dishes are always dirty. Not one time have I been there and not had to send back a water glass, cup or silverware because it had old food still stuck to it, and the surly waitress acts surprised every time, like she didn't see it. The bathroom looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. The service is poor, but it's what would be expected in such a disgusting environment. Would give it a zero or worse if I could. To be fair I am padding the atmosphere category slightly, as that the place could use a good run through with a feather duster, however...this place, like most diamonds in the rough, has spectacular food. The value is excellent and the food has been consistently wonderful. Friendly staff and surprisingly prompt food prep. I was suspicious of microwave tomfoolery at this pace, however none of the earmarks of that was evident. Pitch perfect griddle work from whomever is regularly at this post. No heavyness in the battered items, quality proteins and the finesse of preparation is evident in the finished product., Great value... My husband and I, ate lunch today, we both got the French dips,and sauce super water down. No cheese on dip, meat was ok, and husband had soup as well. Had 2 sodas, and the customer service was horrible, waitress never once asked us how meal was, over freaking 50$ husband looked st me and said man we could of ate better at home with our whole family for that price, for what we got. New Shortened Menu, Good street tacos, Good coffee. It seems very short staffed as there was only one waitress and one chef, As long as you are patient you will have a nice time, I highly recommend chatting with staff it seems like they are having a hard time. I recommend coming here if you want a bite to eat in a very quiet environment. Overall very good experience and very relaxing. The absolute best fish and chips meal ever! The fish is generously portioned and perfectly cooked and very meaty! The coleslaw was the best I've ever had, No kidding! Everything was so delicious! The tarter sauce was the best also, and homemade as well as the coleslaw. My mom's birthday dinner was Perfect🤗❣ The Peddler, as we call it, has a perfect variety of menu items always assured to please any guest we invite with us. Thank you so very much.
