As I'm spending more than $16.00, on a sandwich, plus $4.00 or more on a pizza slice, I do believe I have the right to be treated as a paying customer and not be given the 3rd degree by some cynical old man with what appeared to be a very suspicious nature, making me feel like I'm some unwanted vagrant. I believe I have the right to sit and enjoy my food without harrasment. A little background: Earlier that day I was contacted by a security guard company that I work part time for because the firemain sprinkler system wasn't working and someone was needed to watch the building where the VA Clinic was. My wife had the car and it was due for an oil change which is where she took it. I then have a backpack full of rain gear on me and a change of clothes because of the weather. I asked this business if I could keep it with them while I do my rounds so I'm not lugging it around. This person is now giving me a hard time about it as I'm eating the food that I paid for at their place. Also something that just occured to me. The old geezer actually came and sat at my table as if by invitation to question me. I should've told him I never did invite him to sit down with me and to please leave me alone or refund my money right then and there. So what do we learn here? With age doesn't neccesarily come wisdom and while normally I respect my elders...here.... I should've asked for my money back because when you eat at a resteraunt you're not just paying for food. However the young guys earlier were decent enough to watch my backpack. I just thought I was returning a courtesy by being a customer in return for them keeping my backpack there when what I really wanted was to try the all day omellete at Carnitas next door but I supposed being demeaned by Mr. Owner was just further payment required. Somebody needs to tell Mr. Owner that being old and the owner doesn't give him the right to treat paying customers like garbage. Yes, I should've had that omelette at Carnitas and maybe haved asked them if I could leave my backpack there instead. I can just almost taste that omelette and I should've never had had anything to do with Carini's pizza. Hello Owner Thank you for taking the time to reply. What honestly really bothers me and keeps replaying in my mind was his apparent incredulity at the idea that I was working as a security guard at the shopping center. When I said that my shift went till 10:00 o' clock he reacted like it was some sort of strange far off idea, like I had just dropped in from the Planet Mongo. He also just seemed to have a very smug and superior tone, or disposition in how he related to me and spoke. As I brought up the fact that I was working as a guard at the shopping center, it felt like he was either mocking me or patronizing me for the sake of the employees there to hear and get in on. The day was rainy. I'm not provided with raingear other than a jacket which isn't really waterproof. So I bought my own raingear on Amazon which is all black and doesn't have anything on it that says "Security" but it keeps me dry and henceforth, I'm not coughing, spitting up phlegm, getting fever, for days afterwards, and all the rest that comes with spending 8 hours in the rain. Now to some small minded people out there I look like a vagrant, I'm sure and maybe that was the case with your man here and in which case I ask that he try to consider that the world isn't all these obvious colors he thinks it is, and maybe the conclusions he draws on what he thinks he observes could be very off and mistaken. His "getting a feel" of who I was seemed invasive and insulting. Again I don't need anyone's "feeling me out." I paid money for the food and so have a right to eat it in peace and free of harassment. If the backpack was such an issue I would've found somewhere else to stash it. I've just gotten used to businesses that are just nice enough to say. "Sure we'll watch your stuff," and then if it's a Restaurant I buy some food from them to show my gratitude, but that just didn't work here. I’m not someone to leave a review if it’s not 5 stars, but we paid $50 for two pizzas - one a personal GF pizza. I have to say, it was so mediocre that I was pissed about the $50 lol the ingredients were OBVIOUSLY high quality and fresh, the toppings were good, but overall, we’d not come back. Nice service, too! Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
Walked into this gem on Saturday night, after kids Soccer tournament, and boy let me tell you it did not disappoint! Did a quick search on Google for some restaurants in the area and my son ended up picking this spot so we ran with it. When we arrived we were greated by Antonio and I explained we weren't from around town and that what would he recommend? He said Penne a la vodka is our most popular dish( I probably spelled that wrong) so we decided on that and also a pepperoni pizza for the kids.. he them made a bold statement and said " We have the best cheesecake in the nation"! I was like wow now that's a bold statement. So we tried it. First plate came out and it was the pasta... and let me tell you this was an amazing dish!! Full of flavor very well presented and that taste was just beyond my expectations.. then came the pizza taste test as Antonio brought out a few slices of a garlic sauce pizza his wife created as she likes to be unique on pizzas and that was also delicios.. thin crisp pizza with bold flavor and that crust was just perfectly crunchy. Kids pizza was demolished I tried that aswell and belive me it's just pepperoni pizza but not his one.. this one has a very good bold taste the dough is perfect thin and crispy I truly enjoyed it all.. and to finish off with the best cheesecake slice (according to Antonio) let me tell you this.. best darn cheesecake if ever had. Totally different and unique delicious taste and creamy with just a hint of sweetness to not over power the taste buds.. this was definitely a unique experience. The hospitality of Antonio and his wife were far from my expectations and I gotta say I recommend this cheesecake and the restaurant to everyone out there. I'm 2 hrs away from this gem in Murrieta and I will be back again for sure. Antonio and wife thank you so much for taking care of us.. ohh and Antonio great voice bud..
