Had our reception here and the staff was amazing I don't remember names but it was 2/17/24 and every woman on our dedicated staff was so amazing and sweet. I wasn't aware but one of my guests went rogue and started yelling and complaining when the food was being put away when she had more than 2 hours to eat, I honestly don't know what got into that person and I do not associate with people like that. I want to apologize to the staff that were yelled at and hope they don't think I had any part in it. I was unaware of what happened until one of my friends let me know the Friday after the reception. The amazing women that helped even packed up a to go bag of some left overs which was so amazing of them. I want to say a huge THANK YOU the staff made this event amazing and so easy and stress free. When I walked in with my wife and daughter, I thought “this is a crowded hot mess”. But, the staff could not have been congenial, and Teddy Roosevelt made for a comforting view. Our wait staff was kind, accommodating, and humorous! We had Fish and Chips on a Friday, light, crispy and meaty! Our drinks were very nicely presented. The Two Man Band was surprisingly appropro. Really enjoyed the fried chicken, we also had the Fish and Chips, Burger and the Thursday dinner special. The only thing we didn't care for was the Coleslaw but to each their own. Boyfriend and I wanted to like this place. Respectfully… I take it the 4.4 stars come from the beverage selection and not so much from the food. Nachos/chips were super salty, inedible. Maybe took three bites and had to tap out, the fish and chips were… cold-ish with the batter falling off because it was all batter hardly any meat. Given it is Bar Food but I guess I expected better? The food is good and we really enjoyed their green chili. Great selection of local beers. The service could have been better, but the server was young and is still learning. Had a Christmas Party of 20 people. Awesome service. Accommodated our group wonderfully. Server was well organized and kitchen did a great job bringing out the food all at once. A group that size can be a challenge and they handled it great. We all had a great time thanks to good service, good drinks, and great food. Thanks for making our Christmas Party a fun time!!! I HAVE to share my experience because I don't know if there are many reviews on one of the BEST Reuben sandwiches in the Denver metro area. I say that about this sandwich because the flavors were all so wonderfully balanced. Usually, there's one part of this sandwich that can be a bit overwhelming but not here! It was perfection! On top of the food being so good, the service was superb. An added nicety was the solo musician playing as we enjoyed our dinner. I wish I had gotten his name so I could see when he'd be back, but I'll figure it out. Keep up the great work, 2 Penguins! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
